All operating systems supported by Stanford can compress and decompress files. You do not need any extra software.

To compress a file or folder:

On a PC, right-click the file or folder and choose Send To > Compressed (zipped) Folder.

On a Mac, control-click the file or folder and choose Compress > filename.

To decompress a file or folder:

To decompress (unzip) a file or folder on a Mac, double-click it.
